the wearing of the green!
The final of the 12 hole Competition combined
with the slightly delayed St Patrick's Singalong!
Gerry Power's trio, was enjoyed enthusiastically as they played a repertoire of well known Irish favourites. Club visitor, Pauline Ingall from Exeter led the singalong, the most popular songs being - When Irish eyes are smiling; I'll take you home again, Kathleen; The Mountains of Mourne; requests kept coming play it again!
Trudy braved the elements to cook the steaks outside on the barbecue, as you will see when you view the photos.
An enjoyable evening was had by all.

The Friday afternoon 12-hole competition for 2010 – 2011 was held over 20 weeks during the daylight saving period. The field for the ball competition each Friday was usually 15 – 20 players who enjoyed a few drinks at the close of play when we handed out balls to the winners of that day’s competition.
For the 20-week competition there were 37 players registered, 22 ladies and 15 men. The overall winners were Carole Turpie for the ladies and Robert Eriksson for the men. Other prize winners were Faye Frith, Wendy Burke, Jan Southon, Uschi Eriksson, Wendy Ruttan, Doug Ruttan, Ashley Southon, Noel Symonds, David Mathers, Tony Dick and Kevin Burke.
