Henry Reid, Frank Lapinskie, Ian McKenzie, Bob Young, & Garry Barnsley This traditional Scottish ceremony and ritual was enjoyed by the many nationalities who joined the Scots to celebrate Scotland's favourite son, Robbie Burns. Garry Barnsley piped in 'the haggis' which was presented on a silver platter by Chef, Rob Tracz. Garry Barnsley then made 'The Toast to the Haggis' with aplomb and style. Garry, Ian, Bob and Rob were then rewarded with a wee dram! Bob Young delivered the Selkirk Grace, cock-a-leekie soup and the main followed. With dancing, tartans, bagpipes, and kilts, it was a very Scottish evening at the Bowral Golf Club. Click here to view all the photos

Over 90 'buffs' came out to test their knowledge and cope with Geoffrey's questions - sometimes intelligent, always confounding, quirky and often trivial. Congratulations to the Legacy Team, the clear winner! Judy and David Farthing, Catherine & Robert Constable, Libby & Warren Ryan, Sue & Rex Ingram Second place was Eight Carat with The Gurus still furrowing their brows. As usual an interesting repertoire of teams competed: Balls & Brass, Two Down, Golden Oldies, Eggheads, Sixers, 4 x 4's, SFU's. A lively competition! Here is a no brainer! Question 15. 'Who is the person in this picture?' Ok that was pretty easy...as is 'What is the floral emblem of NSW?' Hardly anyone/nobody got: How many Knights of the Order of Australia are still living? Where were the 1956 Summer Olympic Equestrian events held? Answers: Prince Charles, Sir Ninian Stephens, Peter Cosgrove. Stockholm " The slow cooked beef fillet and the caramelised eschalots was delicious". said a happy patron. Thank you Rob Tracz.
