Trivia Night Picture Gallery, Friday 21st May 2010 Another splendid evening of Trivia was enjoyed by a large number of Members and guests under the stewardship of ‘our own’ Trivia Master, Geoffrey Hammond and his team Trish Hammond, Helen & Steve Jones. Questions were challenging, entertaining, even provocative.
The Burketts came in the winner after a photo finish, one point separating them from The Tiger Moths. The Burketts were led by James Burkitt with his brains trust, Jane Crossland, Trish Lamprell, Maxine & Chris Green, Penny & David Burgess. In second place The Tiger Moths: Jenny & Alistair MacLennan, Gill & Bill Sherman, Elizabeth & Noel Symonds, Gerry Katekar & Anne Wood. Sadly the Legacy Lions who were vying for 2nd equal lost a point because they had 9 people at the table. One too many brains?! The lucky door prize was finally discovered under Ron Campbell’s chair, as guests either upturned their chairs or were on hands and knees! An excellent evening. Congratulations to everyone! A bracing day, here we have the 'all in black' first to arrive at the 18th - Helen McCathie, Fran Anderson & Lea Binns. Bernadette Brown & Anne Keys were waiting to tally up the points. There is Shirley Brereton tallying up her points. Seen at the bar were Anne Moore and Leonie Cooper vying for attention with croquet players, Frank Cullen and Gordon McBeath.
Kevin Burke is leaving tomorrow on holiday, I'm now flying solo - so there you are! |
