Two expert croquet players, competed while demonstrating the variety, skill, and complexity of croquet. Rudy Rencoret, President of the Chatswood Croquet Club with an Association Handicap of 3.5 played against David Archer, a former President of the Bundanoon Croquet Club. Handicap 6.
Rudy, had a slight edge, but the explanation of the techniques and commentary from David enthused the BGC Croquet Players. Heard was a comment we should try that!
Max Hooper, who is on an International Law Committee on the rules of croquet, came with his wife Tess, who has been a BGC member for many years. Max has a website with lots of information about croquet. Click this link -->> maxhooper.info
Attendees: Edith Wood, Tess & Max Hooper, Frank Cullen, Cliff Francis, Gordon McBeath, Malcolm Yell, Dick Leigh & Derek Jackson.
A pleasantly informative way to spend a summer afternoon.
