at Bowral Golf Club's Charity Day, Thurs July 29th 2010
There was fun and entertainment for golfers, bridge players and those that do lunch.
Special thanks go to the sponsors for their generous donations, including the lady members.
The grateful recipients of funds raised were, Harbison Care Dementia Unit and Dadirri 'support homes for the disadvantaged'.
There were prizes galore as the tombola rolled and rolled, helped along by Grant Blanchard. The major prize, the Hi-Life entertaining hamper donated by the lady members, was won by Anne Moore. Congratulations Anne. A favourite prize was the beautiful orchid, donated by a BGC lady member, taken home by Sally Knackstedt. It was so nice to see Jeannette Schofield's pleasure in receiving a tray of polyanthus, donated by Garden-R-Us.
Thank you to Jeff Spender, as auctioneer, for aggressively eliciting bids for the Brokenwood wines, snapped up by Peter Vicars and the wonderful country picture by Bob Wood.
Winners of the raffles were John Duncan, the Sony Dream Machine and David Hillyar, the bottle of whisky.
For those not so lucky, there was a table fulll of homemade cakes & preserves, books, videos etc for purchase.
